Area People Services Manager Marina del Rey Hotel Marina del Rey, CA Job Details $85,000 - $95,000 a year 5 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Vision insurance Qualifications English Full Job Description Marina del Rey Hotel and Jamaica Bay Inn is looking for an Area People Services Manager to join their team! As a member of the executive team, the Area People Services Manager will serve as a partner to the General Managers and Leadership teams of two premier hotels in Marina del Rey, supporting team member engagement, leadership development and compliance. They will assist with managing the daily administration of various salary, benefit, and team member relations programs by providing support and tools to leadership and interacting with property teams. They will also provide coaching, accountability and support to Hotel Leadership on all People Services related matters. Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the job include but are not limited to: Ensure a branded, engaging and compliant process of all new hires, transfers, promotions, and terminations Ensure managers are consistent and compliant with the review of meal periods, missed punches, over-time and payroll processing related matters Provide support in the delivery of corporate programs/communications such as recognition, development, and company celebrations Support hiring managers with recruitment and selection efforts including posting positions, interviewing and completing references, as well as an appropriate turn-down and talent funnel development process May represent the Company to outside agencies including appearances at unemployment hearings, and union engagement where necessary. Support with monthly health insurance enrollment process using HRIS Serve as a accountability partner to ensure eligible employees are engaged with the quarterly 401k enrollment process Work with Home Office People Services Team in managing leaves of absences in compliance with
FMLA/CFRA/PDL
laws Update bulletin board and compliance posters as needed Coaches supervisors and managers in managing performance issues and serves as a witness or in-person support where needed Support Workers Comp process, and interact with adjusters accordingly Support managers with the performance review process Collaborate with department heads to ensure a highly engaged team environment Responsible for tracking and assisting with New Hire Orientation Maintain team member files using HRIS Actively looks for opportunities for property teams to improve communication, transparency and engagement
Knowledge/Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience HRIS experience preferred
Languages:
Written and verbal understanding of English, fluent in Spanish a plus Three years or more of related experience, hospitality experience preferred Superior verbal, written, and presentation skills Must have the highest level of integrity, honesty, and confidentiality Must be able to effectively work with all levels in the organization Experience conducting harassment, discrimination, and workers' comp investigations

Salary Range:
