The Branch Manager will be responsible for branch profitability, client development, recruiting operations, employee engagement, compliance, and delivering exceptional service to both clients and temporary employees. The ideal candidate is a bilingual English/Spanish staffing professional with strong leadership, sales, recruiting, and operational experience. This individual should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, developing client relationships, leading a recruiting team, and driving branch performance through measurable goals and accountability. Key Responsibilities Branch Operations & Leadership Manage all daily branch operations to ensure efficient, compliant, and profitable staffing services. Lead, coach, and develop recruiters, staffing coordinators, and other branch personnel. Establish branch goals and monitor performance against revenue, gross profit, fill rate, starts, retention, and productivity objectives. Create a culture of accountability, teamwork, responsiveness, and customer service. Conduct regular team meetings and performance reviews. Identify operational challenges and implement solutions to improve branch performance. Ensure company policies, procedures, and operational standards are consistently followed. Business Development & Client Management Develop new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, referrals, prospecting, and community engagement. Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients and key decision-makers. Conduct client visits and business reviews to understand workforce needs and service expectations. Develop staffing solutions based on client workforce requirements. Prepare and present staffing proposals, pricing, and service solutions. Identify opportunities to expand existing accounts through additional staffing services. Monitor client satisfaction and proactively address service issues. Partner with clients to improve retention, attendance, productivity, and workforce stability. Recruiting & Workforce Management Oversee recruiting strategies to ensure the branch consistently meets client staffing requirements. Support recruiters in sourcing, interviewing, screening, and onboarding qualified candidates. Develop local recruiting strategies utilizing job boards, social media, referrals, community organizations, networking, and other talent sources. Maintain adequate candidate pipelines for high-volume and specialized positions. Monitor applicant flow, interview activity, starts, no-shows, turnover, and redeployment. Ensure candidates receive clear communication regarding job responsibilities, schedules, expectations, and onboarding requirements. Assist with recruiting and interviewing when necessary, particularly for high-priority or difficult-to-fill positions. Compliance & Risk Management Ensure all staffing activities comply with applicable federal, state, and local employment regulations and company policies. Oversee proper completion and maintenance of employment documentation, including I-9 and E-Verify requirements. Ensure background checks, drug screens, client-specific requirements, and onboarding procedures are completed accurately. Monitor employee files and branch documentation for accuracy and compliance. Partner with corporate leadership regarding audits, investigations, workers' compensation matters, and employee relations issues. Ensure temporary employees understand workplace policies, safety expectations, attendance requirements, and client-specific procedures. Employee & Client Relations Serve as a point of escalation for employee and client concerns. Maintain regular communication with temporary employees to improve engagement and retention. Address attendance, performance, conduct, and workplace concerns promptly and professionally. Work closely with clients to resolve performance or workforce issues. Conduct employee check-ins and follow up on assignments to identify potential retention concerns. Promote a positive employee experience from recruitment through assignment completion. Financial & Performance Management Monitor branch revenue, gross profit, payroll, overtime, staffing costs, and other financial metrics. Manage branch expenses in accordance with company expectations. Review staffing margins and identify opportunities to improve profitability. Track key performance indicators and develop action plans when goals are not being met. Provide regular performance updates and reporting to leadership. Ensure accurate payroll processing and timely resolution of payroll issues. Qualifications 3-5+ years of staffing industry experience , preferably in a Branch Manager, Operations Manager, Account Manager, or senior recruiting leadership role. Bilingual English/Spanish required. Proven experience managing and developing employees. Strong recruiting and talent acquisition background. Demonstrated business development and client relationship management experience. Experience managing high-volume staffing environments preferred. Working knowledge of staffing compliance, onboarding, I-9/E-Verify, background screening, and employment documentation. Strong understanding of staffing metrics, gross profit, markup, payroll, and branch financial performance. Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office and staffing/ATS/HRIS systems. Ability to travel locally for client visits, employee check-ins, recruiting events, and business development activities.
