Position Overview The Human Resources (HR) Manager will report directly to the owner and will be responsible for all HR functions. This includes recruitment and orientation, compliance and employee relations, employee benefits and compensation, workers compensation and leave administration, and performance management. Manage HR functions, policies, programs, procedures, processes, records, data, and payroll. Create and implement an HR business plan on an annual basis; monitor and report on progress quarterly. Manage HR initiatives with senior leadership for implementation using a collaborative process.
Responsibilities:
Recruiting
  • Manage all recruiting functions; increase quality of new hires with a focus on job success and retention. Talent Management
  • Provide oversight of performance management including coaching and counseling, performance evaluations, disciplinary action, and terminations. Ensure job descriptions are accurate and up to date. Handle on boarding and off boarding. Payroll
  • Administer bi-monthly payroll accurately, ensuring all wage and hour laws are followed. Compliance
  • Manage compliance in areas of employee and workplace policies, the new Workplace Violence Prevention Act, and employee files. Manage HR policies and processes and ensure compliance with applicable governing agencies and all federal, state, and local laws. Benefits & Compensation
  • Manage and administer all benefit programs including leaves and workers compensation. Ensure fair compensation practices throughout the organization. Employee Relations
  • Listen to employees' concerns and answer their questions.
Manage and resolve employee issues. Support a positive and rewarding culture for all employees
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in HR, Organizational Development, related field, or
PHR/SHRM-CP
Cert. preferred. Minimum experience
  • 2 years as an HR Manager or Generalist preferred.
Employee relations experience handling employee issues and complaints including investigations and wage and hour issues. Strong leadership qualities and the ability to model professionalism and provide a positive role model for the organization. Highly organized with the ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced fluid work environment. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and compliance. Excellent computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office, experience with HRIS systems. Payroll experience a plus. Ability to travel by car to all Aero locations regularly and as needed, approximately 10-20% travel.
