Artichoke Joe's Casino is looking for a full-time Human Resource Manager (with a background as a Human Resource Generalist) to work out of its San Bruno location and administer and coordinate Human Resources policies and procedures for 400+ employees. It's a Great opportunity to help administer and grow Human Resources programs and policies for staffing, compensation, benefits, employee relations, and training. The position is Monday thru Friday, and is based around a 40-hour work week. The Human Resources manager will work in collaboration with the company's ownership and management. Working under the direction of the General Manager, the Human Resources Manager, a Key Employee, is responsible for the company wide Human Resources function.
Typical duties include:
Spearhead employee relations, rewards & recognition, benefits administration, full-cycle recruitment, performance management, and exit interviews. Partner with Sr. Management to identify opportunities for improvement across the organization with both policies and processes Own administration of company-wide HR policies, procedures, and practices in accordance with company goals and federal/state legal requirements. Help oversee our current benefit programs and processes, taking into account benchmarking, employee feedback, compliance and cost considerations. Support the management, development and ongoing maintenance of our HR system, including but not limited to payroll, time cards and benefits. Maintain and establish increased awareness and understanding of employment law, industry trends, current practices and new developments. Assist Sr. Management with Compensation Administration. Counsel Managers on employee issues and discipline. Handle employee complaints and conflict resolution. Create and Conduct Employee and Manager Training (non-gaming). Manage Sr. Human Resources Specialist and HR administrator Perform any other HR related duties assigned by the General Manager Desired Qualifications/Experience- A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field (preferred) 5-10 years' experience in Human Resources, preferably in the hospitality field. Experience managing employees Experience managing employee benefits such as health insurance Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office programs Excellent oral/written communication skills Ability to establish strong relationships at all levels and across functions within the organization. Strong experience in coaching leaders and advising action in sensitive or ambiguous situations, including employee relations, performance management, or organizational complexities. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Key employee License through the State of California bureau of Gambling Control.
