Job Description

Position Summary:
Le Meridien Hotel Pinnacle International Hospitality is seeking an experienced, people-focused Human Resources Manager to support day-to-day Human Resources operations at our Le Meridien downtown San Diego. The Hotel features 239 Guestroom, 10,000 sq meeting space, Restaurant and Lounge. This role, working closely with hotel leadership, is responsible for recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training, and fostering a positive workplace culture. The ideal candidate is a trusted advisor who is passionate about developing people, supporting leaders, and creating an engaging employee experience.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Partner with hotel leaders to provide guidance and support on recruitment, employee relations, performance management, confidential matters, and workforce planning.
  • Lead full-cycle recruitment, onboarding, and orientation to attract and retain top hospitality talent.
  • Support employee development through training, coaching, recognition programs, and engagement initiatives.
  • Manage employee relations matters, including investigations, performance concerns, accommodations, leaves, and workplace policies.
  • Administer employee programs, including benefits, Workplace Safety and Insurance Board, disability management, and all other HR administration.
  • Ensure compliance with employment legislation, company policies, collective agreements (where applicable), and HR best practices.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive workplace culture while supporting hotel leadership in achieving operational and people objectives.
Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3 years of progressive Human Resources experience, preferably in hospitality or a service-focused environment.
  • Strong knowledge of employment legislation, employee relations, and HR best practices.
  • Experience supporting recruitment, performance management, supporting organizational strategic goals, and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS).
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the USA.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • A degree or diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
CPHR designation or certification in progress is considered an asset.
