Job Summary The HR Manager will oversee daily HR operations including recruitment, employee relations, compliance, training, payroll coordination, benefits administration, performance management, and employee engagement. This position will work closely with executive leadership, department managers, and production teams to ensure HR programs support company goals and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate has experience in manufacturing environments , understands California employment regulations , and can effectively support a diverse workforce in a fast-paced GMP production environment. Key Responsibilities HR Operations & Compliance Manage all HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, policies, and workforce planning. Ensure compliance with federal, California labor laws, wage and hour regulations, and company policies. Maintain accurate employee records, HRIS systems, and required documentation. Develop, update, and implement HR policies and procedures. Support compliance with GMP, OSHA, workplace safety, and manufacturing requirements. Recruitment & Workforce Management Lead recruitment efforts for production, warehouse, quality, administrative, and management positions. Partner with hiring managers to define staffing needs and improve hiring processes. Manage onboarding, orientation, and new employee integration. Develop strategies to improve employee retention and reduce turnover. Support staffing plans for multiple production shifts. Employee Relations & Culture Serve as a trusted advisor to employees and managers. Handle employee relations matters, investigations, conflict resolution, and corrective actions. Promote a positive workplace culture focused on teamwork, accountability, and respect. Develop employee engagement programs and recognition initiatives. Compensation, Benefits & Payroll Support Administer employee benefits programs including medical, dental, vision, and retirement plans. Coordinate payroll processing and resolve payroll-related issues. Support compensation reviews, wage analysis, and employee classification. Manage leave administration including FMLA, CFRA, and other California requirements.

Experience supporting manufacturing, food, pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, or dietary supplement industries preferred. Strong knowledge of California employment laws and HR compliance requirements. Experience handling employee relations, investigations, and performance management. Experience with HRIS/payroll systems. Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Preferred Experience in a GMP-regulated manufacturing environment. Experience supporting hourly production employees. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
