Job Title:
Payroll Manager/Human Resource Administrator GMH Builders is a growing commercial general contractor based in Sonoma, known for delivering high-quality projects with a team that values Grit, Mastery, and Humility. We are looking for a Payroll Manager with Human Resource Administration experience. If you want to be part of our supportive, professional team, we'd love to meet you!
PAYROLL MANAGER & HR ROLE
The Payroll Manager is responsible for the weekly payroll of 40-50 employees and the administration of the Company's benefit plans. This role also includes supporting the organization and the employees as the primary Human Resources contact. This is a full-time, on-site role in our Sonoma office.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Payroll Processing of weekly office and field payroll checks, including ACH upload to the bank Monitor compliance with wage and hour laws and payroll reporting requirements Submit and track weekly payroll tax payments 401(k) plan administration including weekly 401(k) contributions, loan payments, annual census reporting, and assist employees Process monthly auto allowance payments, employee reimbursements and garnishments PTO tracking and maintain PTO calendar Human Resources Maintain employee records and personnel files while ensuring data integrity and confidentiality Maintain employee handbook and the Company's policies and procedures New hire onboarding and outgoing employee processing Investigate employee complaints, policy violations, and workplace issues and recommend appropriate resolutions
QUALIFICATIONS
3+ years of Payroll & HR experience Associates or Bachelors degree preferred Knowledge of current employment laws and regulations Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Good judgement and problem-solving skills Solid computer skills, including Excel Experience with Spectrum construction accounting software a plus
COMPENSATION
Salary:
$90,000-$120,000 per year, depending on experience and skill set
