Job Description
Key Responsibilities Talent Acquisition & Retention:
Drive full-cycle recruitment for skilled manufacturing roles, including CNC laser/punch programmers, press brake operators, welders, and quality control inspectors.Employee Relations:
Serve as the primary point of contact for coaching, conflict resolution, performance management, and disciplinary procedures, ensuring a fair and supportive culture.Compliance & Safety:
Maintain compliance with California labor laws, OSHA regulations, and company safety policies, partnering with plant supervisors to foster a safety-first shop floor.Payroll & Benefits Administration:
Oversee bi-weekly payroll processing, time-and-attendance tracking, and administration of health, dental, vision, and 401(k) benefits.Onboarding & Training:
Facilitate comprehensive onboarding programs, compliance training, and skills development pathways for shop floor and office personnel.HR Metrics & Policy:
Maintain accurate HR data, update employee handbooks, and advise leadership on compensation trends and retention strategies.Qualifications & Skills Experience:
Minimum of 4-6 years of progressive HR management experience, ideally within a manufacturing, industrial, or precision machining/fabrication environment.Legal Knowledge:
Deep, working knowledge of California employment law, wage and hour regulations, and safety compliance.Communication Skills:
Bilingual capabilities (English/Spanish) are strongly preferred to effectively communicate with our diverse production workforce.HR Systems:
Proficiency with modern HRIS, payroll platforms, and applicant tracking systems (ATS).Interpersonal Style:
