Sweet Basil, Inc. is a restaurant group operating in Colorado consisting of two restaurants in the heart of the iconic Vail Village. Sweet Basil (est. 1977) has a storied history and has been counted among Colorado's best for nearly 5 decades. This landmark restaurant is driven to provide a world class dining experience rooted in exceptional hospitality. Sweet Basil's cuisine is progressive, contemporary American, ingredient driven, refined yet playful. Mountain Standard (est. 2012) is based on the same drive for excellence, but presented in a more casual, communal atmosphere. The food is focused on carefully sourced ingredients and wood fired cooking methods. The open kitchen, open live fires, energetic vibe, and carefully curated taps and cocktails all contribute to the perfect modern mountain dining experience Sweet Basil, Inc.'s success is predicated on having the most talented, hospitable and passionate team possible. This newly created role of HR Manager is responsible for attracting and supporting this team of employees. This management position administers and oversees human resource programs including, but not limited to, recruiting, on-boarding, off-boarding, benefits, culture, employee relations and employee morale. The role partners closely with the Chef and FOH management teams at each restaurant to hire, develop and retain talented team members We are searching for the perfect individual to join our team as Human Resources Manager. EDUCATION / CERTIFICATION / EXPERIENCE
5+ years of experience in hospitality. HR experience with a demonstrated track record of success preferred. SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR credential preferred. Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including recruiting, benefits, compensation practices, culture, employee relations, and knowledge of federal and state respective employment-related laws Ability to think strategically, while driving and owning initiatives. Spanish speaking a major plus Results driven, strong attention to detail with excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate a variety of information and material to candidates and employees. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Highly adaptable and flexible; able to navigate competing priorities. Customer-service focused and able to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of employees and managers in a team-based environment. Demonstrated ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Previous Management experience required, PHD in Social Chemistry preferred!
