We need an HR partner who can build and scale the systems that bring new branches onto one standard, efficient platform. Position Summary This is an HR Business Partner role with a heavy technical focus. The ideal candidate is an expert HRIS builder who can design, configure, and automate workflows in UKG Ready. They must also understand the HR policies, compliance requirements, and operational realities those workflows support. You will own the HRIS as a business tool: turning leadership priorities into working processes, integrating acquired companies, and giving decision-makers clean, reliable data. Key Responsibilities HRIS Architecture & Workflow Design Serve as the company's subject-matter expert and primary administrator for UKG Ready, including advanced configuration of workflows, approval chains, forms, notifications, and security profiles. Design and build automated workflows for onboarding, offboarding, job changes, pay changes, seasonal rehires, benefits eligibility, and policy acknowledgments. Build and maintain company configuration across multiple branches and EINs, including cost centers, job titles, pay rules, accrual policies, and timekeeping profiles. Create custom reports, dashboards, and data exports for executive leadership and private equity stakeholders. Manage system changes through testing, documentation, and version control, and troubleshoot issues escalated from branches. M&A Integration Lead the HR systems workstream for acquisitions, including data mapping, data migration, employee record conversion, and payroll cutover. Standardize job titles, employee classifications, and position descriptions across legacy and acquired companies. Develop repeatable integration playbooks so each new acquisition moves onto the platform faster and more cleanly. Vendor & Integration Management Serve as the primary liaison with our payroll/HRIS provider (Inova Payroll) and other vendors, managing tickets, escalations, and enhancement requests. Oversee integrations with benefits carriers, 401(k) providers, background check vendors, and other third-party systems. Evaluate new modules and tools, and recommend improvements with clear cost and benefit analysis. HR Business Partnering Partner with the COO, branch leaders, and payroll to turn operational needs into system solutions. FLSA, ACA
tracking, I-9/E-Verify, and multi-state requirements. Support benefits administration for full-time and seasonal populations, including eligibility rules and open enrollment configuration. Build training materials and deliver training to branch managers and administrators, including a largely Spanish-speaking field workforce. Data, Reporting & Compliance Maintain data integrity and audit readiness across all entities. Produce workforce analytics that PE-level reporting requires: headcount, turnover, labor cost, seasonal staffing trends, and integration progress. Make sure system configurations support compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws. QualificationsRequired 5+ years of HRIS experience, including at least 3 years as a hands-on administrator building workflows and configurations from scratch, not only maintaining existing setups. Expert-level experience with UKG Ready (Kronos Workforce Ready) or a comparable HCM platform, such as UKG Pro, Paycom, Paylocity, ADP Workforce Now, or Workday. Demonstrated experience with multi-entity or multi-EIN configurations. Advanced Excel skills, including lookups, pivot tables, and data cleansing for migrations. Solid working knowledge of HR compliance: FLSA, ACA, FMLA, I-9, and multi-state wage and hour rules. Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical leaders and field managers. Preferred Experience in a private equity-backed or acquisition-driven environment, including M&A system integrations. Experience with seasonal, hourly, or field-based workforces, ideally in landscaping, construction, or facilities services. SHRM-CP/SCP or PHR/SPHR, and/or UKG certification. Familiarity with API or SFTP integrations, report writing tools, or basic SQL. Key Competencies Systems thinking, process design, attention to detail, ownership of complex projects, comfort with ambiguity and pace, and the credibility.
