Job Description

CBT Technology Institute is seeking an experienced Human Resources & Payroll Operations Manager to support the day-to-day administration of HR and payroll functions. This role is ideal for a well-rounded HR professional who has experience working in a small or mid-sized organization and is comfortable handling multiple HR responsibilities, including payroll, benefits, employee relations, recruiting, compliance, and HR administration. Responsibilities Process and oversee payroll activities to ensure accuracy and timeliness. Support employee benefits administration, leaves of absence, and workers' compensation programs. Coordinate recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and offboarding activities. Assist with employee relations matters and performance management processes. Maintain employee records and HR systems. Ensure compliance with applicable employment laws and company policies. Support training, employee communications, and engagement initiatives. Prepare HR and payroll reports as needed. Partner with managers and leadership to support workforce needs and operational goals. Qualifications 5+ years of experience in Human Resources with exposure to multiple HR functions. Payroll administration experience required. Experience with recruiting, employee relations, benefits administration, and compliance. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. HRIS and payroll system experience required. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred. SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification preferred. Experience supporting multi-location operations preferred. Experience in education, career colleges, workforce development, or service-oriented organizations preferred. Why Join CBT?
