This high-impact role focuses on full-lifecycle human capital management tailored to the protective services industry. As the operational backbone of our HR team, you will build and preserve an audit-ready, fully qualified, and compliant security division assigned to high-security commercial, industrial, and retail locations.
Primary Operational Duties Targeted Staff Acquisition & Screening:
Drive candidate attraction and hiring pipelines for field officers, supervisors, and specialized armed/unarmed teams throughout Florida. Oversee mandatory background investigations, drug panels, and physical assessment protocols while collaborating with operational leaders to balance shift capacity during rapid expansion phases.
Statutory Compliance & Licensing Audits:
Monitor adherence to state and federal security statutes, municipal guidelines, and employment standards. Continuously log, update, and review employee licensing (Florida Class D/G permits, TWIC, SIDA), maintaining organized databases for unscheduled state regulatory audits.
Internal Investigations & Field Counseling:
Lead corporate inquiries into operational policy breaches, workplace grievances, and performance gaps. Direct objective disciplinary strategies and offboarding procedures to shield the organization from exposure, while mentoring field supervisors in team management and conflict resolution.
Timekeeping Verification:
Validate field hours and supervise full-cycle payroll distribution (utilizing ADP or similar architectures).
Applicant Profile & Qualifications Basic Requirements Work Authorization:
Must be a United States citizen or legal national.
Educational Background:
Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Management, or a related field preferred.
Language Skills:
Mandatory full bilingual competency in English and Spanish (spoken and written).
Clearances:
Ability to clear an in-depth background screening and pre-employment drug panel. Nation Security Services LLC operates a drug-free environment.
Technical Knowledge & Background Relevant Work History:
3 to 5 years of progressive HR leadership, ideally gained within contract security, defense services, logistics management, or high-density shift-work operations.
Regulatory Mastery:
In-depth familiarity with state security guard licensing codes, labor laws, and armed team oversight protocols.
Software Proficiency:
Hands-on experience with modern payroll solutions (ADP, Paycor) and HR database software (HRIS).
Bonus Qualifications:
Professional certifications (SHRM-CP/SCP, PHR) and prior exposure to managing 24/7 decentralized rosters or port-access facilities are highly desired.
