Job Description

POSITION PURPOSE
Responsible for managing all human resources functions, personnel employment matters, and entity compliance standards.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in human resources or equivalent human resources experience and at least four years relevant experience Strong general knowledge of human resource related laws and regulations Flexibility and ability to prioritize high volume of responsibilities with tight deadlines Strong communication skills, oral and written Excellent attention to detail Computer proficiency: Advanced skills in Excel, Word, Adobe, and Outlook
PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS
Manage human resources department on a day-to-day basis and oversee all HR functions, including but not limited to recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and compliance. Oversee all day-to-day on-site HR operations across assigned campuses, serving as the primary point of contact for staff regarding HR-related matters. Manage oversight of employee onboarding, offboarding, and orientation processes, ensuring compliance with all internal policies and applicable laws. Oversight of benefits processes, payroll changes, and HRIS updates, collaborating with other departments as needed for accuracy and timeliness. Serve as first-line support for employee relations concerns, escalating complex or high-risk matters to the Director of HR or designate for guidance. Manage and maintain compliance documentation, including personnel files, required postings, and regulatory audits. Facilitate the management of leave of absence requests and ensure documentation and communication align with legal requirements. Oversee recruitment and hiring processes for designated positions, including but not limited to job posting compliance. Oversee HR team initiatives including but not limited to applicant screening, interview coordination, and reference checks. Partner with supervisors to address performance management needs, assisting with documentation, coaching, and corrective actions when appropriate. Provide on-site HR presence for employee engagement, team support, and conflict resolution. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and internal policies to ensure compliance and recommend process improvements. Collaborate with the Director of HR or designate on special projects and strategic initiatives as assigned. Responsible for scheduling, attending, and leading (where applicable) all department meetings. Research and maintain required compliance and best practice standards. Support the management of all employee relations. Oversee and lead when necessary, all benefits administration and communication with applicable parties. Oversee, update, and maintain policies and procedures in compliance with all required regulations. Oversee all needs for DCF compliance, financial audits, and any other audit as assigned. Creation and development of strategic plans for the organization. Must be able to work under tight schedules and possess the ability to effectively handle pressure associated with deadlines. Ensure all activities and engagements with applicants, employees, volunteers, and vendors are handled with excellence and meet standards and policies.
