Job Description

accommodations, workers' compensation coordination, and other leave programs. Coordinate local payroll activities in partnership with the corporate payroll team. Assist with performance management processes, employee development programs, and talent reviews. Support employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, surveys, and company events. Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local employment laws. Assist with open enrollment, benefits administration, and employee communications. Generate and analyze HR metrics and reports to support business decisions. Participate in strategic HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives. Safety Coordinator Responsibilities Serve as the primary onsite point of contact for all plant safety activities and initiatives. Partner with the corporate EHS team to implement and maintain safety policies, procedures, and programs. Coordinate and document safety training for new hires, existing employees, contractors, and visitors. Lead and track monthly safety meetings, toolbox talks, and safety communications. Conduct routine workplace safety inspections and audits to identify and mitigate hazards. Coordinate incident reporting, root cause investigations, corrective actions, and follow-up activities. Maintain OSHA logs, safety records, training documentation, and regulatory reporting requirements. Monitor compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety standards. Partner with supervisors to ensure appropriate use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe work practices. Facilitate safety committee meetings and promote employee involvement in safety initiatives. Assist with emergency response planning, evacuation drills, and preparedness activities. Track safety metrics and provide regular reporting to plant and corporate leadership. Support workers' compensation claim management and return-to-work processes. Promote a safety-first culture through employee engagement, coaching, and continuous improvement efforts. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Occupational Safety, or a related field preferred. Minimum of 5 years of progressive Human Resources experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Experience with full-cycle recruiting for both hourly and salaried positions. Working knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, and compliance requirements. Experience supporting workplace safety programs, OSHA compliance, or EHS initiatives preferred. Professional certification such as PHR, SHRM-CP, ASP, OHST, or equivalent is a plus. Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills. Ability to influence and build relationships across all levels of the organization. Strong organizational and project management skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and HRIS systems. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
