Strategic Placement Partners is recruiting on behalf of our client, a global leader in the design and manufacture of conveyorized car wash equipment, parts, and supplies. We're seeking an experienced Training Manager to lead technical training, workforce readiness, and technician development initiatives. Reporting to the Director of Controls , this role is responsible for training and developing control technicians , building scalable certification programs, and driving operational consistency across field and customer-facing teams. What You'll Do Lead technical training and workforce readiness initiatives supporting field deployments, customer onboarding, and operational execution Design, implement, and continuously refine technical training curricula for control technicians, aligned with field execution standards Develop scalable onboarding frameworks, certification standards, and technician readiness programs Build training programs, SOPs, manuals, and technical documentation to support measurable performance improvement Lead onsite, remote, instructor-led, and hybrid training delivery across field and operational teams Manage training technologies, certification tracking, schedules, and workforce development programs Partner with Engineering, Product, Technical Support, and Operations to align training content with product releases and operational workflows Evaluate technician performance and workforce capability using operational metrics Provide coaching, mentoring, and development planning for technical trainers and enablement personnel Establish KPIs for technician performance, readiness, and training effectiveness Serve as a strategic partner between Training, Field Operations, Technical Support, Engineering, Logistics, and Leadership Standardize training procedures and ensure compliance with company policies and safety standards What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree preferred in Business, Technology, Operations, Engineering, or a related field 5+ years of progressive experience in corporate/technical training , workforce development, field operations, or deployment enablement Experience supporting customer-facing technology deployments and operational readiness initiatives preferred Experience managing technical trainers or operational personnel preferred Strong instructional design, coaching, and cross-functional collaboration skills Benefits 100% employer-paid medical plan for eligible employees Employer-paid Short-Term Disability (STD) coverage Optional voluntary benefits: additional medical plans, dental, vision, FSAs, Long-Term Disability (LTD), life insurance 401(k) plan with company matching contribution
Pay:
$103,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year

Describe your experience designing and delivering training programs for technicians in a field service or manufacturing environment. Have you managed or mentored a team of trainers or technical personnel? If so, how many, and in what capacity? This role reports to the Director of Controls and focuses on training control technicians — do you have experience with control systems, electrical/mechanical equipment, or similar technical training subject matter? Are you comfortable with a training delivery model that includes onsite, remote, and hybrid instruction, and are you able to travel as needed to support field deployments?
