This pivotal role combines comprehensive HR management with student engagement, ensuring the development of a supportive environment that promotes academic excellence, personal growth, and organizational success. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a passion for talent management, employee relations, and strategic planning, while embodying a proactive approach to fostering a positive institutional culture. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence both organizational policies and student experiences through innovative leadership and dedicated service. Duties Develop and implement comprehensive HR strategies aligned with mission-centered goals, including talent acquisition, succession planning, and organizational design. Manage employee onboarding, orientation programs, performance management processes, and employee evaluation systems to ensure continuous development. Administer benefits programs, payroll processing using the HR Symphony platform, and ensure compliance with employment & labor law regulations, including
FMLA, OSHA
standards, and HR legal compliance. Collaborate with the school leadership team to align priorities in the academic plan and financial policy. Oversee student discipline framework and engage students with restorative justice practices. Assist the principal in IEP/504 meetings involving families and service providers as an admin designee. Skills Strong communication abilities to foster positive relationships across all levels of Hakipuu Academy. Extensive experience in talent acquisition, recruiting strategies, and managing human resources teams effectively. Data analysis skills for reporting and process improvement. Deep understanding of employment & labor law, HR compliance standards including EEO regulations and OSHA requirements. Demonstrated leadership in managing change within complex environments while fostering team collaboration and strategic thinking in HR leadership roles.
