Human Resources Assistant Manager

Job Description

WESCO Industries is seeking a highly organized and people-focused Hiring Assistant Manager to support and lead recruitment and staffing functions. This position plays a vital role in identifying, attracting, and onboarding qualified candidates who align with WESCO's mission of serving individuals with disabilities and mental health challenges. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to creating a positive candidate and new hire experience. Key Responsibilities
  • Lead end-to-end recruitment processes including job postings, resume screening, interviewing, reference checks, and job offers.
  • Collaborate with program managers and department leads to assess staffing needs and update job descriptions.
  • Coordinate and participate in job fairs, community recruitment efforts, and workforce development events.
  • Maintain applicant tracking systems and ensure proper documentation of the hiring process.
  • Support the onboarding process including background checks, new hire orientation, and paperwork completion.
  • Assist with internal promotions, job transfers, and postings in accordance with organizational policy.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with colleges, workforce agencies, and other talent pipelines.
  • Ensure hiring practices are compliant with EEO, ADA, and other employment laws and WESCO policies.
  • Provide regular reporting and analysis on recruitment metrics and hiring trends.
  • Support HR team in other functions as needed, including employee engagement and retention efforts. Qualifications
  • A degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Education, or a related field is preferred; however, relevant experience may be considered in place of formal education.
Previous experience in an office, administrative assistant, or Human Resources-related role is preferred. The ideal candidate will have a basic understanding of HR practices, employee documentation, confidentiality, and general office procedures and best practices in nonprofit or healthcare/human services settings.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and applicant tracking systems (ATS). What We Offer
