Job Description

Position Summary The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for supporting and administering a wide range of human resource functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, performance management, training, and personnel record management. This position serves as a key resource for employees and management, helping ensure that HR policies and practices support organizational goals while maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws. Key ResponsibilitiesRecruitment & Staffing Coordinate and manage the full-cycle recruitment process. Post job openings, review applications, and schedule interviews. Conduct reference and background checks. Prepare and issue employment offers and onboarding documentation. Assist with workforce planning and staffing needs. Onboarding & Employee Records Facilitate new employee orientation and onboarding. Maintain accurate and confidential personnel files. Ensure completion of required employment documentation, including I-9 verification and licensing requirements. Track employee certifications, credentials, and compliance training. Employee Relations Serve as a point of contact for employee questions and concerns. Support conflict resolution and employee engagement initiatives. Assist supervisors with performance management and corrective action processes. Promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture. Compensation & Benefits Administer employee benefits programs and enrollments. Assist employees with benefit-related questions. Coordinate annual open enrollment activities. Support compensation reviews and salary administration. Compliance & Policy Administration Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws. Maintain HR policies and recommend updates as needed. Assist with audits, accreditation reviews, and regulatory compliance requirements. Monitor and report on workforce metrics and HR trends. Training & Development Coordinate employee training programs and professional development opportunities. Track required trainings and continuing education requirements. Assist in developing employee recognition and retention initiatives. Payroll & HR Systems Support Partner with payroll staff to ensure accurate employee data and payroll processing. Maintain employee information within HRIS systems. Generate HR reports and workforce analytics as requested. QualificationsEducation Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, or related field preferred. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Experience Minimum of 2-3 years of progressive human resources experience. Experience with recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, and employment law compliance. Healthcare, behavioral health, or social service experience preferred. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong understanding of HR principles and employment laws. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational and time-management abilities. Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems. Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Certifications SHRM-CP (Society for Human Resource Management Certified Professional) PHR (Professional in Human Resources) Relevant HR certification or willingness to obtain certification Physical Requirements Ability to sit, stand, walk, and use office equipment for extended periods. Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds. Ability to travel occasionally for meetings, recruitment events, or training. Pay:
$21.00 - $28.00 per hour Expected hours: 25.0 - 30.0 per week
