Job Description
BASIC FUNCTION
The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management. This position assists in the development and implementation of human resources policies, programs, and services, including but not limited to recruitment, selection, retention, legal compliance, employee benefits, safety, employee relations, employment practices and procedures, training and employee communications. The Human Resources Business Partner reports directly to the Human Director.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Assists in coordinating the recruitment and retention efforts for a farm group Responsible for interviewing, hiring, onboarding, terminations, promotions and transfers, and performance evaluations for assigned farm group Maintains and monitors the performance evaluation system in the HRIS database Recommends and implements personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains handbook policies and procedures in accordance to regulations Creates and delivers presentations regarding HR policies and practices as directed Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions). Serves as a consultant to farm management teams, supervisors and employees in regards to employee relations issues Subject matter expert in the benefits offerings and benefit process Assists with the worker's compensation and safety programs Responsible for unemployment filings for assigned farm group Maintains knowledge trend and advises management to ensure company compliance with federal, state, and local laws related to human resources functions Works with line management to identify training needs for business units and individual coaching needs. Participates in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success. Follows up to ensure training objectives are met. Assists in analyzing data to determine a market competitiveness Performs other related duties as assignedKNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Prior principles and practices in the human resources arena is required. Experience with an HRIS database is preferred. Effective oral and written communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Excel spreadsheets, and excellent interpersonal skills.EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
1. An Associate degree in a business field and 2. A minimum of 3-5 years human resources experience OR 3. A Combination of education and experience 4. Bi-Lingual Spanish preferredMENTAL AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS
