Job Description:

Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Director of Human Resources for a fast-growing, multi-state home healthcare organization. This is an onsite role based in Niles, Illinois.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Director of Human Resources is a senior leader responsible for overseeing HR strategy, compliance, and employee relations across a multi-state healthcare organization. This role partners closely with executive leadership to ensure a compliant, high-performing, and engaged workforce. The ideal candidate brings strong expertise in employment law, HR operations, and organizational development within a regulated environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with organizational growth and multi-state compliance requirements Serve as a key advisor to leadership on employee relations, workforce planning, and risk mitigation Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws across all locations Oversee performance management, employee relations, and leadership development initiatives Manage compensation, benefits, and HR operations to ensure equity, scalability, and compliance Lead and develop the HR team while promoting a culture of accountability and engagement

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience leading HR functions in multi-state, highly regulated environments (home healthcare preferred) Strong knowledge of employment law, compliance, and risk management Proven ability to build and improve HR systems, policies, and processes Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders HR certification such as SHRM-SCP or SPHR preferred

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

This position offers a salary range of $110,000-$135,000 annually, along with a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k), and paid time off.
