Human Resources | Temporary | HR Business Partner - Talent Acquisition Fort Wayne Community Schools - 3.6 Fort Wayne, IN Job Details Temporary $23.65 an hour 2 hours ago Qualifications Driver's License Full Job Description Temporary position 08.24.2026 to 10.30.2026 PURPOSE The Talent Acquisition HR Business Partner is responsible for providing leadership and direction in the completion of processing recommendations and other hiring processes that align with Federal, State, and Local Laws in accordance with current Fort Wayne Community Schools policies and procedure. The incumbent will perform a variety of complex vetting and administrative activities under the supervision of the Manager of Hiring and in support of the District's mission, vision and goals and the Human Resources Strategic Plan.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Leadership and Supervision or business-related field preferred or Four or more years' in Human Resources working directly with hiring, pre-employment and onboarding. Extensive experience with Human Resources, hiring, recruiting, training, onboarding or like experiences preferred. Valid driver's license
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Responsible for advising District personnel regarding the process of Recommending and Hiring applicants to ensure alignment with HR Guidelines along with Federal, State & Local laws. Responsible for providing sound leadership on applicant recommendations and hiring information. Responsible for assisting the Hiring Manager in the implementation and evaluation of hiring area goals and continuous improvement processes. Responsible for implementation and adherence to district policies and procedures pertaining to hiring. Responsible for the oversight as needed in reviewing and approving the research, assembly and maintenance of new hire files. Responsible for exercising independent judgment when researching, investigating and compiling information to resolve applicant, staff, and/or public complaints and concerns. Communicate with the Indiana Department of Education on a variety of matters to assure adherence with State guidelines in relation to proper licensure and new hire requirements. Responsible for training and providing ongoing support to school administrators and support staff for various software systems. Serve as a HR technical support contact for the PowerSchool applicant tracking system. Analyze new hire recommendation data with district allocations in order to approve or deny new hire requests and communicate the rational of these decisions to the Unit Heads. Perform complex specialized human resources activities involved in the recruitment, screening, processing, employment, orientation and placement of administrative, certified and classified personnel; review, process, evaluate and verify a multifaceted variety of applicant information and documents. Serve as a technical resource to employees, unit head and applicants regarding employment and other personnel functions; respond to inquiries and provide detailed information concerning related laws, regulations, contracts, licensing requirements, policies and procedures. Assists the hiring process for Administrative, Certified, Classified and Coaching employees; develop and analyze job information to determine correct salary, qualification and job description for posting of current district vacancies. Assists with review and process of administrative, certified, classified and coaching new hire files for final approval; verify applicant eligibility, work experience, references, college transcripts, appropriate license, test scores, background information and criminal history report. Contact and communicate with recommended applicants on a daily basis for any additional information needed and status of employment. Contact and communicate with internal transfers regarding additional required paperwork, transcripts or licensure needed for transfer. Supports review and approval of comprehensive district athletic volunteers and independent contractors. Supports review and approval of substitute position assignment sheets.
