Implements company policies and deals with staffing or disciplinary issues as needed.

Job Description
- Partners with the leadership team to understand and execute the organizations human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.
- Provides support and guidance to employees performing HR functions, management, and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations.
- Manages the talent acquisition process, which may include recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants, particularly for managerial, exempt, and professional roles; collaborates with our organizations' general managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
- Analyzes trends in compensation and benefits; researches and proposes competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.
- Provides oversight and recommendations on payroll, benefits, and pension plans.
- Creates learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees.
- Oversees employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Maintains an understanding of federal, provincial, and local employment laws and regulations as they apply to each company and recommend best practices; reviews and develops policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Ensures confidential HR information is protected.
- Helps to promote the health and safety program within the companies.
- Identifies and reports on funding options for new hires available through Government and Industry.
- Ensures a positive image and professional working relationship.

- Proficient use of MS Office.
- Must possess a high level of moral judgment for handling confidential information.

- Detail oriented with strong analytical, time management and organizational skills. Required Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma in Human Resources, Business, or five years of relevant work experience. Work Conditions
- This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday.
