What's a typical day as Human Resources Manager? You'll be: Leading all day-to-day HR operations, including payroll administration, onboarding, employee records, HR systems, and reporting.Managing the full-cycle recruiting process:
sourcing, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding new talent. Partnering with managers to identify staffing needs and develop recruiting strategies for hard-to-fill positions. Serving as a trusted resource for employee relations, conflict resolution, workplace concerns, and investigations. Maintaining a strong presence throughout the office and production areas. Leading performance management, employee development, retention, and succession planning initiatives. Developing and maintaining HR policies, procedures, and the employee handbook. Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Administering benefits, supporting open enrollment, and assisting with compensation planning and benchmarking. Coordinating training and development initiatives, including safety training. Supporting workers' compensation, return-to-work processes, OSHA compliance, and workplace safety programs. Collaborating with leadership and operations to continuously improve HR processes and employee engagement. This job might be an outstanding fit if you: Have 10+ years of progressive HR experience, including leadership responsibilities (Required). Hold a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Preferred). Possess strong knowledge of employment law, HR best practices, payroll, benefits, and employee relations. Bring experience in manufacturing, woodworking, construction, or similar hands-on environments (Preferred). Demonstrate outstanding interpersonal, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Are able to build relationships and communicate effectively with employees at all levels. Are proficient with Microsoft Office and HR/payroll systems. (Preferred) Hold SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification. (Preferred) Have experience processing weekly union and non-union payroll. (Preferred) Have experience working in a small to mid-sized or family-owned business.
