Our services include early education and care, home-based child care support, out-of-school time programming, and parent education and workforce development services. Position Summary Square One is seeking a Workforce Development Case Manager to support youth and families in accessing education, employment, and career development opportunities. This role works directly with program participants to create individualized career plans, connect them with training and employment experiences, and provide ongoing coaching and support through the WIOA Youth program. This is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about workforce development, community impact, and helping individuals build sustainable career pathways. Key Responsibilities Implement year-round WIOA Youth programming, including outreach, recruitment, intake, and participant assessments Develop individualized service strategies, career plans, and work-based learning plans Meet with participants to provide education and employment support Facilitate weekly workforce development classes using the Workplace Readiness Certificate curriculum Coordinate work-based learning opportunities such as volunteer placements, paid work experiences, job shadows, and internships Recruit and maintain relationships with local employers hosting participants Ensure accurate and timely documentation, case notes, and participant records in compliance with funder and agency requirements Track and submit participant timesheets according to established deadlines Attend required staff meetings, supervision, and trainings Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications Required:
Bachelor's Degree in Organizational Development, Training, Adult Education, Human Resource Development, or related field plus one year of experience with a career development focus. Substitution for a Bachelor's Degree may include High School Diploma plus 3 years' experience working with families or children, or an Associate's Degree in Human Service/related field with experience working with families or children. At least one (1) year of experience in workforce development, career counseling, case management, or related human services work Valid Massachusetts driver's license and reliable transportation Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email, and internet research Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently while collaborating as part of a team Flexibility to adjust schedule based on program needs
Preferred:
Knowledge of local education and workforce resources (GED, ESL, vocational training, higher education, etc.) Bilingual (Spanish/English) Why Work at Square One?
