Financial Services, Credit Union Angott Search Group is partnering with a growing financial services organization based in Ann Arbor, Michigan to identify a proactive and strategic Human Resources Manager. This role is responsible for leading all aspects of human resources, including talent acquisition, employee relations, compliance, performance management, benefits administration, and culture development. The HR Manager will serve as a trusted advisor to leadership and a key partner across the organization, helping to shape HR operations in a fast-growing environment while supporting a culture built on teamwork, accountability, integrity, innovation, and leadership.Responsibilities:
Lead full-cycle recruiting and workforce planning, partnering with department leaders to identify hiring needs and build strong talent pipelines. Develop and manage onboarding programs that support a positive first-year employee experience. Serve as a confidential resource for employees, supporting managers with coaching, conflict resolution, and performance discussions. Drive initiatives that strengthen employee engagement, retention, and organizational culture. Ensure HR policies and practices comply with federal and state employment laws, particularly within regulated financial services environments. Maintain accurate HR systems, employee files, and reporting metrics. Lead policy reviews, handbook updates, and compliance-related training initiatives. Administer employee benefits programs, including open enrollment and vendor relationships. Assist with compensation benchmarking and pay structure management. Manage the performance review process and support leadership in developing employee growth plans. Identify training and development opportunities to address skill gaps and strengthen organizational capabilities. Represent the organization at industry and community events, helping strengthen the company's presence and relationships.Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 3+ years of progressive HR experience, ideally within financial services, banking, lending, or another regulated industry. Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR compliance practices. Experience managing recruiting, employee relations, and HR operations. Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
