This position will play a key role in recruiting and onboarding employees, maintaining accurate and confidential personnel records, coordinating employee benefits, supporting employee relations, and ensuring that HR processes are organized, timely, and compliant. Key Responsibilities Manage the employee recruiting and onboarding process from application through hire Conduct and coordinate candidate interviews Complete reference checks and other pre-employment requirements Prepare new-hire paperwork and ensure all required documentation is completed Coordinate employee orientation and onboarding activities Maintain accurate, organized, and confidential employee personnel files Track employee credentials, licenses, certifications, background checks, and other required employment documentation Assist employees with benefit enrollment, changes, and related questions Coordinate health, dental, vision, and other applicable employee benefits Communicate with benefit providers regarding enrollment, eligibility, and employee questions Maintain accurate HR records and employee information in company systems Assist management with employee relations and personnel matters Support performance documentation, disciplinary processes, and employee separations as needed Help ensure compliance with company policies and applicable federal and Michigan employment requirements Maintain and update employee policies, forms, job descriptions, and HR procedures Work closely with management, scheduling, payroll, and accounting to ensure employee information is accurate and up to date Maintain strict confidentiality when handling employee and company information Identify and support improvements to recruiting, onboarding, retention, and the overall employee experience Qualifications Previous Human Resources experience Experience with recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, benefits administration, or employee file management strongly preferred Experience in healthcare, home care, home health, or medical-office HR is a plus Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and discretion Comfortable communicating with employees, applicants, managers, and outside vendors Ability to manage multiple priorities and follow tasks through to completion Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and common HR or payroll software Knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices preferred Schedule & Compensation This is a full-time position with an anticipated schedule of approximately 32-38 hours per week.
Compensation:
$25.00-$30.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. We are seeking someone who is dependable, approachable, highly organized, and capable of taking ownership of the HR process while working closely with company leadership.
