Job Description

We are looking for an experienced HR Manager to support a broad range of people operations in Portage, Wisconsin. This Long-term Contract position will oversee employee relations, benefits administration, onboarding, and day-to-day HR processes while ensuring accuracy and policy alignment. The ideal candidate brings strong judgment, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to manage sensitive matters with professionalism and consistency.
Responsibilities:
  • Guide employees and managers on workplace concerns, policy interpretation, and resolution of employee relations matters.
  • Administer core human resources activities, including onboarding coordination, documentation management, and employment records maintenance.
  • Oversee benefits-related tasks by supporting enrollments, updates, employee questions, and issue resolution with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Manage leave and accommodation processes, including FMLA and ADA requests, while maintaining compliance with applicable requirements.
  • Prepare and review offer letters and other employment documents to ensure completeness, consistency, and adherence to company standards.
  • Support recruiting activities by coordinating hiring steps, facilitating communication, and helping create a smooth candidate experience.
  • Maintain HR data within systems such as UKG Pro and other HRIS platforms, ensuring records are current and carefully reviewed.
  • Monitor HR practices for compliance with internal policies and external regulations, identifying gaps and helping implement corrective actions.
