Job Description

Human Resources Manager We are seeking a strategic, hands-on Human Resources Manager to strengthen recruiting, onboarding, employee development, and the overall employee experience for our growing, privately held company of approximately 80 employees. This role will complement our existing HR administrative function, which manages payroll, benefits enrollment, compliance, and other day-to-day administrative responsibilities. The ideal candidate is a proactive self-starter who can translate leadership expectations into action, build consistent people processes, and serve as a trusted resource for managers and employees. What You'll Do Recruiting and Hiring Establish an organized and consistent hiring process. Own the full-cycle recruiting process, including sourcing, resume screening, interviewing, candidate selection, and offer coordination. Partner with hiring managers to define the responsibilities, expectations, and qualifications for each position and independently manage the search. Expand recruiting efforts into new candidate pools, including colleges, universities, industry associations, and other specialized talent sources. Recommend and manage recruiting budgets based on the needs of each position. Clearly communicate the interview process, next steps, and expected timeline to candidates. Onboarding and Employee Experience Design, implement, and facilitate a consistent company-wide onboarding process. Develop a structured first-day HR orientation that clearly communicates company expectations, culture, resources, and policies. Partner with managers to create position-specific onboarding and training plans. Hold managers accountable for completing onboarding and employee-development activities. Identify opportunities to continuously improve the employee experience and strengthen company culture. Employee Relations and Performance Serve as a trusted resource for employee relations matters. Coach managers through employee performance concerns, workplace conflicts, feedback, and difficult conversations. Establish consistent practices for documenting coaching, corrective-action, and disciplinary conversations. Provide guidance and support during discipline and termination processes. Support performance management, goal setting, and annual employee-review processes. Training and Leadership Development Identify practical training and development resources for leaders and employees. Recommend skill-development opportunities based on individual and organizational needs. Create and coordinate recurring leadership-development opportunities, including quarterly leadership summits. Help leaders build effective employee training and development plans. Promote a culture of clear expectations, timely feedback, accountability, and continued growth. Lead by

Experience independently managing recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, and employee-development initiatives. Demonstrated ability to operate both strategically and hands-on Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices Experience managing recruiting and employee relations independently High level of judgment, discretion, and accountability Ability to develop trusted relationships with employees and leaders at all levels. $100,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
