Company Overview Sunnking Sustainable Solutions has been a leader in electronics recycling and reuse for more than 25 years. Our team of approximately 100 employees works across warehouse operations, transportation, resale, and administrative functions, all focused on giving electronics a second life while keeping them out of landfills.

Job Summary We're looking for an experienced, hands on, on-site HR Manager who enjoys building relationships, solving problems, and partnering with leaders to create a positive, accountable workplace. This role serves as the trusted HR resource for employees, supervisors, and the leadership team. This is an on-site position where you'll spend time both in the office and on the warehouse floor, building relationships with employees and supporting leaders throughout the organization. Responsibilities Manage the full employee lifecycle, including all recruiting efforts (job ads, vendor relationships, hiring and onboarding), employee relations, performance management, leaves of absence, and separations. Build strong relationships with employees and maintain a visible, approachable HR presence throughout the company. Coach and support supervisors and managers with employee relations, performance, attendance, corrective action, and workplace concerns. Administer employee benefits and manage the payroll process, ensuring employee information, timekeeping, deductions, paid time off, garnishments, and other payroll-related changes are processed accurately and on time. Process and review biweekly payroll through Paylocity, reconcile payroll reports, and work closely with the Finance team to ensure payroll accuracy, compliance, and timely completion. Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with federal, New York State, and local payroll, wage and hour, and employment laws. Ensure compliance with federal, New York State, and local employment laws while maintaining accurate and confidential employee records. Develop and improve HR policies, procedures, job descriptions, employee communications, and training. Coordinate workers compensation, unemployment, disability, leave, accommodation, and return-to-work matters. Experience 5+ years of progressive, hands-on Human Resources experience. Bachelor's degree and/or HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, or equivalent) preferred, but not required. Well-rounded HR experience including employee relations, recruiting, benefits administration, payroll, performance management, compliance, and HR operations. Experience processing payroll using Paylocity or a similar HRIS/payroll system, including timekeeping and employee records. Working knowledge of federal, New York State, and local employment laws, payroll regulations, and wage and hour requirements. Experience supporting warehouse, manufacturing, transportation, or other operational workforces is a plus. Strong communication, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Ability to build trust with employees while balancing business needs and exercising sound judgment. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and confidently navigate challenging employee situations. $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
