Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Human Resources & Operations Manager to lead our HR initiatives and streamline operational processes across the organization. This position oversees and provides leadership for all aspects of Human Resources (HR), Operations, and Facilities, including, but not limited to: staffing, employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, salary management, employee training and development, policy creation, legal compliance, mailroom operations, reception, scanning activities, and assigned special projects. Duties Manages and provides leadership for staff in the HR & Operations Unit. This includes responsibility of all mailroom functions and the reception area. Oversees the recruiting, hiring, and retention of qualified staff for Chesterfield in support of business objectives. Develops and implements policies, procedures and practices that are in compliance with all local, state and federal laws. Communicates and administers these in a fair and consistent manner. Maintains, reviews, and coordinates the management of job descriptions and performance evaluations for all positions to ensure consistency and equity. Administers the compensation plan and salary structure to ensure consistency and equity. Works with Finance Department to administer payroll. Develops, maintains, and updates the HRIS platform (ADP) across all modules. Works closely with members of the team to assess and develop the desired company culture, identify improvement opportunities and formulate appropriate business strategies for the future. Negotiates with carriers on all employee benefit programs. Administers and communicates with employees about all available benefits and incentives. Reports all work-related injuries to the appropriate source. Coordinates and follows up with the designated Third-Party Administrator for Workers' Compensation Claims. Communicates with the President regarding matters that may require outside legal counsel. Assists management in the administration of progressive discipline process. Researches, develops and administers new programs and practices to improve/ensure employee satisfaction/productivity. Keeps accurate personnel and medical files on all employees.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Directly supervises 2 employees within the Human Resource & Operations Department(s). Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree (BA) in Human Resources, Psychology or related field, from four-year college or university, or three to five years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Certificates, licenses and registrations required: NONE Computer skills required: Internet Software; Payroll Systems; Spreadsheet Software (Excel); Contract Management Systems; Human Resources Systems; Word Processing Software (Word); Electronic Mail Software (Outlook); Presentation software (PowerPoint); and Publisher software.

Master's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, or related field Society of Human Resources Management Certified Professional SHRM-CP Professional in Human Resources (PHR) Demonstrates the ability to exercise sound judgment and work independently under minimal supervision. Proven ability to communicate effectively with all levels of workforce. Ability to read and interpret documents such as policy manuals and operating procedures. Ability to write policies, reports and correspondence. Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations. Pay:
$60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
