ABOUT THE ROLE
The HR Manager is a critical member of the plant management team. With a strong understanding of the site's operations, productivity targets, processes and systems, and safety requirements, you will align people strategies with business goals and help build a high-performing, compliant, Safety-First culture. The safety of our employees is our No. 1 priority!
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
You will lead and develop an onsite HR team by setting clear priorities, building capability, and ensuring strong day-to-day execution in support of plant and people objectives. As a member of the plant management team, you will contribute to plant KPIs, financial performance, and drive people engagement and accountability. You will help establish Tenneco culture and a Safety-First mindset across the plant. You will lead workforce and succession planning processes for the plant, including employee development planning, reporting, talent insights, and action plans that support operational continuity and long-term organizational needs. You will develop partnerships with Talent Management and Talent Acquisition to drive internal and external hiring. With radical candor and emotional intelligence, you will establish clear and direct communication across the plant. You will partner with the Plant Manager and other functional leaders to analyze and forecast workforce requirements and lead execution of workforce planning objectives. You will ensure plant compliance with applicable employment laws, labor requirements, internal HR policies, and Tenneco standards through disciplined processes, documentation, and follow-through.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in leading an HR function within a plant environment Labor Relations experience in a unionized plant environment preferred Bilingual in Spanish preferred Strong operations/manufacturing "know-how" & business acumen Strategic vision and communication skills Proven experience supporting operational excellence within the manufacturing environment Strong skills in MS Office and HRIS systems, SAP/SuccessFactors preferred We don't want average.
