Human Resources Director Cedarvale Commons - Washington Court House, Ohio Join the Cedarvale Commons team and make a difference in the lives of our residents and employees! Cedarvale Commons is seeking a Human Resources Director to lead and support all aspects of human resources for our skilled nursing community. This position is ideal for an organized, people-focused HR professional who enjoys building relationships, supporting employees, and creating a positive workplace culture. What You'll Do Oversee all daily human resources functions for the facility Lead recruitment, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding processes Maintain accurate and compliant employee personnel records Coordinate new-hire orientation and ensure required documentation is completed Manage employee relations, including coaching, counseling, and performance management Partner with department leaders to address staffing and employee concerns Monitor attendance, employee retention, and staffing trends Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company employment policies Coordinate employee benefits, leave requests, and other HR programs Support employee engagement, recognition, and retention initiatives Conduct exit interviews and identify opportunities to improve employee satisfaction Maintain knowledge of applicable employment laws and long-term care regulations Serve as a trusted resource and advocate for both employees and facility leadership What We're Looking For Previous experience in Human Resources; healthcare or long-term care experience preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Excellent organization and attention to detail Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee matters professionally Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills Ability to work independently while partnering effectively with facility leadership Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HR-related systems Experience with employee recruitment and retention strategies preferred Why Join Cedarvale Commons?
