  • Full-time Position Summary The Human Resources Director is the operational leader for a multi-site dental organization (~150 dentists, dental therapists and denturists plus Management Services Organization (MSO) professional staff), responsible for delivering consistent, compliant, and effective HR services across clinical and MSO staff.

This is a hybrid position (both remote and in-person). By year-end 2026, the HR Director will be expected to be onsite at the Kaiser Permanente Building at least one day per week. Candidates must reside in, or be willing to relocate to the area.
Education/Experience Required :
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) or Society for Human Resource Management
  • Certified Professional (SHRM-CP)
Job-related Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required :
5+ years of Human Resources experience in a healthcare setting. 3+ years leading an HR department or leading HR teams and/or initiatives. Thorough knowledge and experience in all areas of human resources, employment and benefits laws and regulations, management principles, procedures, and best practices. Knowledge of and experience with varied human resource information systems and reporting. Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and apply process improvement best practices. Ability to build an organizational culture of performance and continuous improvement. Strong MS Office suite, solid presentation, and communication skills (written and verbal). Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolutions skills with the ability to solve problems in a customer service manner. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality, high integrity, and ethics. Demonstrated sound judgment and discretion.
Preferred :
Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. Recruitment and hiring experience. Knowledge of Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and employment law related to hiring practices. Behavioral interview training. Ability to speak persuasively and defend complex positions effectively. Innovative and out-of-the-box thinking with a desire to push the envelope and challenge status quo.
Salary Range and Benefit Summary:
$144,000
  • $152,500 base with a $21,000
  • $22,500 at risk = Total Cash Compensation Range at Target of $165,000
  • $175,000 The Human Resources Director (and their dependents) is eligible to enroll in medical, dental, vision, alternative care, supplemental medical and life insurance.
Additionally, employees are covered by AD&D coverage, short-term and long-term disability insurance, and are able to enroll in Permanente Dental's 401(k) plan, with a generous employer 401(k) contribution. In addition to 8 paid holidays, employees can accrue over 10 hours of PTO each month to cover various absences such as personal time, vacation, illness, and more. Additionally, PDG-MSO employees enjoy four weeks of paid parental leave, an annual benefit reimbursement pool, Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account, and award winning Wellness Program.
