Human Resources Director Vision Technologies - 3.2 Glen Burnie, MD Job Details $130,000 - $160,000 a year 6 hours ago Benefits Tuition reimbursement Cell phone reimbursement Qualifications Bachelor's degree Full Job Description Reporting to the Vice President of Human Resources, the Director of Human Resources oversees day-to-day HR operations, ensuring the efficient, compliant, and reliable delivery of HR processes. This role implements and manages innovative, scalable HR programs that enhance onboarding, employee engagement, performance management, retention, and leadership effectiveness. The Director plays a key role in driving continuous improvement and forward-thinking HR practices that strengthen employee experience and deliver results across the organization.
Base Salary:
$130,000-$160,000 Please note that this job posting includes base salary information for the assigned target market range within the primary geographic region where the requisition is posted. If the position is posted in multiple locations or is a remote position, the salary range may vary. Individual pay rates will, of course, vary depending on the skills, experience, certifications, specific licenses, internal equity, and education of the applicant. Certain roles may be eligible for other compensation such as bonuses, car allowance, cell phone reimbursement, and tuition reimbursement.
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage day-to-day HR Operations, ensuring consistent, compliant and effective service delivery. Own and enhance the onboarding experience to support and strengthen company culture, accelerate productivity and drive engagement Develop and implement forward-thinking HR programs, tools and processes that elevate the employee experience and support organizational growth. Advise and partner with business leaders, providing guidance on employee relations, performance management, and workforce planning to drive high-performing teams. Proactively ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws, while mitigating HR-related risk. Monitor legislative and regulatory changes and recommend timely updates to policies, procedures and processes. Oversee and maintain the employee handbook, HR polices, and compliance documentation to ensure accuracy and alignment with best practices. Collaborate with leaders to develop and execute compensation, engagement and retention strategies that support business objectives and a high-performance culture. Advise managers on performance management, corrective action, investigations, accommodations, and conflict resolution to ensure consistent application of HR policies and practices across department and locations. drive consistent and fair outcomes. Employee Retention & Engagement Strategy Establish and monitor key metrics and dashboards to track engagement, retention and overall employee experience. Analyze retention, turnover, engagement, and exit data to identify risk areas and recommend targeted interventions. Develop and lead data-driven employee engagement strategies, including surveys, rewards and recognition programs, career development, and culture initiatives. Partner with leaders to develop and execute action plans based on insights from engagement surveys, stay interviews, and exit interview feedback. Lead retention efforts for critical roles and high performers in support of organizational growth.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field required. Active HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or
SHRM-SCP
) strongly preferred. 8-12+ years of advanced HR experience, with increasing levels of responsibility, ideally at the manager or director level. Demonstrated success in leading HR initiatives across multiple HR functions (e.g., employee relations, performance management, engagement, retention, and compliance) in a high growth environment. Proven ability to guide and advise leaders, navigate sensitive issues and drive organizational change. Experience overseeing HR functions in multi-state environments preferred. Comprehensive knowledge of federal, state and local employment laws and regulations.
