Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking an experienced, organized, and people-focused Human Resources Director to oversee the HR function for a growing staffing agency specializing. The HR Director will be responsible for managing the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, employee relations, performance management, policies and procedures, compliance, benefits administration, leave management, and employee retention. This individual will work closely with leadership, recruitment, payroll, and operations to ensure employees receive strong HR support while maintaining compliance with company policies and applicable employment regulations. The ideal candidate is highly responsive, comfortable managing a geographically dispersed workforce, and able to balance employee needs with the operational requirements of a fast-paced staffing organization. Responsibilities Employee Relations Manage employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, attendance concerns, and performance issues. Conduct and document employee investigations when necessary. Coach managers and supervisors on employee relations and performance-management matters. Help foster a professional, supportive, accountable, and positive company culture. Identify recurring employee concerns and recommend solutions to improve employee satisfaction and retention. Onboarding & Lifecycle Oversee the HR portion of the onboarding process for newly hired employees. Coordinate with recruiting, credentialing, operations, and payroll to ensure a smooth transition from candidate to active employee. Manage employee status changes, promotions, compensation changes, leaves of absence, and terminations. Conduct or oversee exit interviews and identify trends contributing to employee turnover. Performance Management Develop and oversee employee performance-management processes. Assist supervisors with performance improvement plans, written warnings, and corrective-action documentation. Ensure disciplinary actions are consistent, appropriately documented, and compliant with company policies. Policies & Compliance Develop, maintain, and update the employee handbook and HR policies. Monitor federal, state, and local employment-law requirements affecting the company and its employees. Ensure compliance with applicable wage-and-hour, leave, anti-discrimination, accommodation, and employment regulations. Coordinate with outside HR consultants or legal counsel when appropriate. Benefits & Leave Administration Oversee employee benefits administration and serve as a resource for employee benefit questions. Coordinate open enrollment and communicate benefit information to employees. Manage PTO and leave policies. Staffing Agency & Healthcare Workforce Support Support leadership in maintaining strong employee retention across client assignments. Help establish consistent procedures for reassignment, performance concerns, attendance issues, and separation from client facilities. HR Systems, Reporting & Administration Maintain accurate information within HRIS and employee-management systems. Develop and monitor HR metrics, including turnover, retention, attendance, employee relations trends, and other key indicators. Provide leadership with regular HR updates and recommendations. Ensure employee documentation and HR processes are organized, standardized, and scalable as the company grows. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. 5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, with prior HR management or leadership experience strongly preferred. Strong working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices. Experience with employee onboarding, performance management, disciplinary actions, terminations, benefits, and leave administration. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, growing organization where processes may need to be developed or improved. Ability to efficiently execute and follow up on projects. Position goal The HR Director's primary goal is to build and maintain an effective HR infrastructure that supports and retains our employees, protects the organization, promotes a positive workplace culture, and enables the company to continue growing its operations successfully.
Pay:
From $80,000.00 per year
