UtiliQuest, LLC a leading provider of quality underground utility damage prevention for over three decades. With headquarters located in Alpharetta, Georgia just north of Atlanta, we have offices located in states including California, Indiana, Ohio and the Eastern US from Florida to New York with over 2,800 employees. Our Human Resources team plays a critical role in supporting employees and business operations across the organization. We are seeking a collaborative, self-motivated HR leader with strong organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about continuous improvement. The Human Resources Manager, Benefits & Administration is responsible for leading the company's benefits administration and HR operations functions while overseeing a team of HR professionals. This role ensures efficient administration of employee benefits, leave management, HR compliance, HRIS data integrity, and related employee programs. The HRM partners closely with internal stakeholders and corporate HR leadership to support organizational objectives and deliver best-in-class HR services. This position reports directly to the Senior Director of Human Resources. What you'll do Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of HR professionals, including Benefits and Compliance Specialists Oversee daily administration of employee leave programs, includingFMLA, ADA
accommodations, Workers' Compensation, personal leaves, and other leave requests Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local employment and benefits regulations Manage employee benefits administration, including new hire enrollments, qualifying life events, dependent eligibility verification, and annual open enrollment Partner with vendors, brokers, and internal stakeholders to support benefit plan administration and employee communications Oversee HRIS data accuracy and administration, including employee status changes, compensation updates, onboarding transactions, separations, and reporting Manage unemployment claims administration and related compliance activities Administer and monitor the company's drug testing and background screening programs to ensure compliance with company policies and industry requirements Support administration of the company's tuition reimbursement program Coordinate performance review cycles and compensation change processing within the HRIS system Reconcile monthly invoices related to benefits, background checks, and drug testing; partner closely with Accounts Payable to ensure timely and accurate processing Manage and audit I-9 compliance processes and employment authorization documentation Ensure all required federal and state labor law postings remain current and compliant across all company locations Partner with corporate HR and Dycom leadership on benefits administration, HRIS initiatives, compliance programs, and process enhancements Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and operational efficiencies within HR administration functions Serve as a trusted HR business partner by providing guidance, recommendations, and responsive support to employees and leaders across the organization Maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment in handling sensitive employee information and business matters What you'll need Required skills for success: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience focused on benefits administration, HR operations, or employee services Minimum of 2 years of leadership or people management experience Strong working knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations, including ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, HIPAA, and related compliance requirements Experience working with HRIS platforms; SAP experience preferred Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Demonstrated commitment to customer service, continuous improvement, and operational excellence High level of integrity, professionalism, discretion, and respect for confidentiality Experience supporting multi-state or geographically dispersed workforces, a plus Experience with HR process automation and systems optimization initiatives preferred Why grow your career with us Your career here is more than just a job — it's your pathway to opportunity.
