Job Details § Ensure the execution and implementation of the overall strategy and vision for staffing, recruiting, internal development, performance management, and employee engagement. § Responsible for all human resources responsibilities of direct and indirect reports (e.g. hiring, coaching, training, appraising, etc.). § Anticipate talent needs and create strategies that will utilize staff to build a succession plan to meet forecasted field staffing needs. § Analyze reports of progress against designated HR metrics and make recommendations on opportunities to increase the retention of key talent. § Remain current on trends in the industry and HR field; implementing new ideas to ensure the team is effectively attracting, developing and engaging top talent. § Responsible for acting as a consultant to influence clients and colleagues, deliver constructive advice, diagnose and resolve problems and positively influence change. § Manage internal and external resources in the administration of staffing, training, and employee relations systems, policies, practices, and budgets.
Knowledge Skills &/or Abilities:
§ Strong knowledge of all relevant employment laws and regulations, including Wage and Hour, FLSA, Title VII, FMLA, ADA, worker's compensation and other DOL regulations § Excellent understanding of the retail environment § Able to remain neutral, facts-driven § Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills § Able to manage multiple confidential situations without compromise § Strategic thinker, visionary § Able to handle difficult situations and provide feedback § Excellent interpersonal and group communication skills § Able to effectively communicate with employees at every education level § Excellent collaboration and consensus building skills § Strong relationship building and networking skills § Able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks for timely completion § Flexible and adaptable § Able to motivate and develop employees in a high-stress environment § Advanced computer skills § Travel required approximately 50% of time Qualifications BA in Human Resources, business or a related field required, graduate degree preferred. 7-10 years of progressive leadership experience to include Employee Relations, Training and Recruiting. Strongly prefer extensive HR generalist experience.
