Job Description Position Summary:
The HR Manager leads operations and continuous improvement of HR services including payroll administration, employee benefits, HRIS/UKG management, employee records keeping, and workforce HR support. This individual will ensure reliable, compliant, and employee-centered service delivery across the organization. The employee will partner closely with managers, VPs, and HR department to ensure alignment across all departments. Day to
Day:
1. HR Operations and Service Delivery (30%): Lead routine employee operation including new hire onboarding, leaves of absence, and offboarding. Establish and maintain service calendars, checklists, documentation, and internal files for recurring HR activities. Serve as escalation point for HR questions (policies, risks, and issues). Coordinate new HR projects with the VP of HR. 2. Payroll Administration (20%): Oversee all aspects of payroll administration. Work with payroll vendors and internal stakeholders on payment plans, terminations, compensation changes, deductions, taxes, and other payroll inputs. Support reconciliation efforts. Maintain employee payroll records and ensure approved changes are reflected properly. Coordinate with Accounting & Finance on audits, tax inquires, and year end. 3. Benefits Administration (20%): Administer employee benefits programs (health, welfare, retirement, enrollment, etc.). Support annual Open Enrollment and benefit renewals. Maintain benefit eligibility, enrollment, deductions. Prepare and distribute employee benefits information in a timely manner. 4.
HRIS & UKG
Process Improvements (20%): Manage user access, permissions, requests, and system maintenance. Create HR reports to support payroll, benefits, compliance, budgeting, audits, and management decisions. Identify opportunities to automate HR processes and employee self-service. Participate in UKG implementations for upgrades/changes. 5. Compliance and Documentation (10%): Maintain employee records, personal information, and files. Support compliance reporting, auditing, and government filings. Ad hoc documentation duties as needed. Skills and Requirements Bachelor's Degree in HR, Business Administration, or related. 5-7 years of progressive HR experience with significant experience in HR operations and employee relations. Experience managing payroll and benefits administration. UltiPro Ready (UKG) is strongly preferred, or similar platform. Experience with
HRIS/HCM
system migrations or implementations. They are currently migrating from ADP to UKG. Experience working with third party payroll and benefits vendors.
Examples:
Cigna or other insurance companies. Experience in a multicultural or global environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Master's Degree.
Certifications:
SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or SPHR UltiPro Ready (UKG)
