Education:
Bachelors degree or higher or in business-related field, education, communication, or similar field of study or Associates degree and two years of work experience involving management and projectdevelopment. The degree must be from an accredited college or university.Experience:
o One year or more of supervisory experience with full-time staff and/or part-time staff or at least 3 years experience teaching and/or administering continuing education or workforce education programs. o Strong knowledge and experience in providing effective customer service.Training or Technical Skills:
o Advanced ability to utilize computer technology to access data, maintain records, prepare reports, and communicate with others. o Computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (including Word, Excel, Publisher, and PowerPoint).Preferred:
Masters degree in business, education, communication, or a similar field of study from an accreditedcollege or university.Experience:
o Community college experience, specifically in teaching or leading continuing education or workforce education programs. o In curriculum development and evaluation of educational programs. o As a supervisor in an educational setting. o With distance education, online education, and concurrent/dual credit programs. o With recruitment and outreach efforts in education. o With the use of social media for marketing purposes. o Knowledge of institutional assessment and effectiveness. Proficient with Google Workspace tools like Docs, Sheets, and Drive to create, share, and manage work.Special Demands:

The position will report directly to the Chairs of Workforce & Continuing Education and functionally to the Assistant Vice President of Academic Affairs for job responsibilities and other College related activities as outlined in the Policies and Procedures Manual. Essential duties include but are not limited to the following: Foster an environment that is student-focused and committed to excellence. Demonstrate sensitivity toward and respect for the diversities represented in the student population, colleagues, and service area. Assist with the development of regular or customized workforce and continuing education training from development to implementation, instructor preparation (from hiring to classroom), and student registration functions. Serve as a liaison to grant-funded partners, businesses, industries, nonprofits, and secondary schools in the service area of the college. Support, supervise, and evaluate assigned instructors and support staff of workforce and continuing education courses, including summer camp, the business and industry and risk management and safety units, and personal interest courses. Supervise, manage and support admissions and registration processes for Workforce and Continuing Education as well as the staff who carry out admissions and registration processes. Serve as an active team member of Workforce and Continuing Education, including development of curricula, such as syllabi and other course-related documents, and participation in unit planning and serving on campus committees. Coordinate regular communication with third-party payers of student tuition to ensure the accuracy of course rosters and billing statements. Assist in the preparation and distribution of the course schedule throughout the year for Workforce and Continuing Education, including course selection; coordination of facilities, organization, production, and distribution of class schedules; and creation of brochures, flyers, social media posts, and other various forms of advertisement to increase student enrollment. Maintain a catalog of workforce and continuing education courses. Assist in marketing and recruitment efforts for workforce and continuing education courses. Represent Workforce and Continuing Education at regional college, career, and community events to promote educational programs and services. In collaboration with Human Resources, recruit instructors and support staff for workforce and continuing education courses, including summer camp, the business and industry and risk management and safety units, and personal interest courses. Monitor course files to ensure complete data in areas such as class rosters, outlines, instructor certification, and course numbers to provide factual reporting for submission to state and regional agencies. Actively pursue and participate in professional development activities to enhance skills in various modes of instruction and knowledge of learning. Perform basic student enrollment and recruitment functions, such as community outreach, student registration support, and student retention activities. Attend the workplace regularly, report to work punctually, and follow a work schedule to keep up with the demands of the worksite. Incorporate innovation and embrace new ideas in training; and Read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.CONTRACT & SALARY
