This role is based in Texas and is responsible for the Plano office and DFW Distribution Center teams, and other smaller locations in partnership with the Manager, People Operations. The Business Partner serves as a trusted advisor to managers and employees while ensuring consistent execution of employee relations, performance management, onboarding, workforce planning, policy, and compliance practices. Key Responsibilities Serve as the primary People Operations partner for the Plano office and DFW warehouse teams, and assigned national branches. Build trusted relationships with leaders and employees and provide timely, practical guidance on day-to-day people matters. Coach managers on performance expectations, feedback, accountability, attendance, conduct, communication, and employee development. Manage employee relations matters, including workplace concerns, investigations, corrective action, performance improvement plans, and separations. Ensure employee matters are documented consistently and escalated appropriately to the Manager, People Operations or Chief People Officer. Support organizational changes, staffing transitions, workforce planning, and position or reporting-structure updates. Coordinate onboarding and offboarding activities and help create a consistent employee experience across assigned locations. Assist employees and managers with policy interpretation, benefits questions, payroll concerns, leave coordination, and other People Operations needs by partnering with the appropriate internal resources. Monitor employee trends, recurring concerns, turnover, attendance, and other workforce issues and recommend practical solutions. Maintain accurate employee records, case documentation, and HRIS information. Branch and Field Support Provide People Operations ownership for approximately half of Backyard Products' branch locations nationwide. Develop strong working relationships with Regional Managers, Territory Managers, branch leaders, and employees. Support field leaders with employee relations, hiring coordination, onboarding, performance management, and local workforce needs. Participate in regular reviews of branch staffing, employee concerns, turnover, and leadership support needs. Travel to assigned branches and other company locations when business needs require in-person support. People Operations Partnership Work closely with the Manager, People Operations, Chief People Officer, Payroll & Benefits, Safety & Compliance, Talent Acquisition, and operating leaders. Support the implementation of standardized People Operations processes, templates, service expectations, and compliance practices. Participate in team case reviews, workforce discussions, leadership-development efforts, and cross-functional initiatives. Help strengthen a consistent One BYP employee experience across brands, functions, and locations. Qualifications and Experience Progressive human resources or People Operations experience supporting employees and managers. Experience with employee relations, performance management, investigations, corrective action, and workplace documentation. Experience supporting a multi-location, field-based, manufacturing, warehouse, or hourly workforce is preferred. Sound judgment, professionalism, discretion, empathy, and the ability to handle sensitive matters. Strong communication, coaching, organization, follow-through, and problem-solving skills. Ability to balance multiple locations, employee needs, deadlines, and changing business priorities. Working knowledge of employment practices, HR compliance, HRIS systems, Microsoft Office, and employee documentation. Ability and willingness to travel to assigned company locations as needed. Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience preferred. SHRM or HRCI certification preferred or willingness to pursue professional development as assigned.
