Reports to Human Resources Manager / Human Resources Director
JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary/Objective The Human Resources Partner handles and provides support for various HR employee programs within the organization. The primary responsibility is the performance of office work directly related to the general business operations of the business. Responsibilities
- Must exercise discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance.
- Maintains personnel files in compliance with applicable legal requirements
- Keeps employee records up-to-date by processing employee status changes in a timely fashion
- Maintains company organization charts and employee directory
- Processes personnel action forms and ensures proper approvals; disseminates approved forms
- Prepares paperwork required to place employees on payroll and establishes personnel file
- Maintains the employee handbook with updated resolutions and other pertinent information, as needed
- Maintains employee termination records with off-boarding checklist
- Maintains accurate insurance enrollments of all employees
- Troubleshoots telephone and voice mail system; handles minor repairs; and coordinates repairs with technicians when required

Work Environment This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers and smartphones. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. However, agility and quick response time to customer and employee requests may be required at all times including evenings and weekends. Classification Exempt Travel No travel is expected for this position. Required Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent with some college or technical school coursework and a minimum of three years of job-related experience, preferably in a human resources department
- Technical experience, including responsibility for maintaining computer systems
- Combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities
- High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation.
- Knowledge of office administration procedures.
- Ability to operate most standard office equipment.
- Attention to detail in composing, typing, and proofreading materials; establishing priorities; and meeting deadlines.
- Good to excellent spelling, grammar, and written communication skills.
- Excellent telephone and oral communication skills.
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality. Preferred Education and Experience
- BS/BA in Business Administration or relevant field; additional education in Human Resource Management will be a plus
- Experience with HR databases and HRIS systems (e.g. Virtual Edge)
- Ability to work with ATS software
- Extensive knowledge of computer software (Microsoft Office 365), computer hardware and computer servers.
- Proficiency in or knowledge of using a variety of computer software applications, especially Excel and Microsoft Word software.
