Job Description
Position Overview:
The Human Resource Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the human resources function. This role ensures that the organization attracts, develops, and retains a skilled workforce aligned with the company's operational needs and safety standards. The HR Manager collaborates with leadership to drive employee engagement, foster a positive workplace culture, and maintain compliance with industry-specific regulations.Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement HR policies and procedures tailored to the metal fabrication environment, ensuring compliance with OSHA, EEOC, and other relevant regulations. Conduct competitive shopping and evaluation of health insurance and other employee benefit plans to ensure the company offers attractive, cost-effective options that meet workforce needs. Administer compensation, benefits, and payroll, ensuring competitive offerings and accurate record keeping. Recruit, interview, and onboard employees for production, technical, and administrative roles, focusing on the specialized skills required for metal fabrication. Manage employee relations, address grievances, and promote a safe, and productive workplace. Coordinate training and development programs, including safety training, skill advancement, and leadership development. Oversee performance management systems, conduct evaluations, and support supervisors in coaching and disciplinary processes. Maintain personnel records and HR documentation in accordance with legal and company requirements. Facilitate health and safety initiatives and collaborate with management to implement workplace improvements. Monitor labor laws, industry standards, and trends to ensure ongoing compliance and recommend process enhancements.Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree or HR certifications (e.g., SHRM, PHR) preferred. Minimum 3 years of HR experience, with at least 2 years in a manufacturing or industrial setting. Strong knowledge of employment law, safety standards, and HR best practices relevant to the metal fabrication industry. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills. Proactive with the ability to develop systems and programs. Bi-lingual English / Spanish required. Proficiency with HRIS systems, Microsoft Office, and payroll software. Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.Working Conditions:
The position is based in an industrial facility and requires frequent interaction with production staff, management, and external partners. Occasional travel may be necessary for recruitment, training, or industry events. The HR Manager must adhere to strict safety protocols and demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement.Pay:
