Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced, bilingual Human Resources Manager to lead our HR function and support our field and office teams. This is a hands-on role for someone who can independently manage a broad range of HR responsibilities, build trust with employees and managers, and establish practical, consistent processes. The HR Manager reports directly to the CEO and leads a team whose specialties include payroll, workforce programs, and staffing coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
Own recruiting and hiring across the company, including job postings, screening, interview coordination, offers, and hiring processes Lead employee relations, workplace concerns, investigations, corrective action, performance improvement, and termination processes; coach managers on consistent practices Own employee onboarding and offboarding processes, HR documentation, personnel records, and employee communications; coordinate technical access and equipment with IT Maintain and improve the employee handbook, policies, job descriptions, forms, and HR procedures Ensure HR practices comply with applicable federal and state employment requirements, including FLSA, FMLA, ADA, workers' compensation, unemployment, and wage and hour requirements Manage leave and accommodation processes and oversee benefits administration in coordination with relevant partners Ensure required employment documentation and records are complete and maintained appropriately, including I-9 and work authorization documentation in coordination with the company's workforce programs team Build an approachable, visible HR presence for both English- and Spanish-speaking employees and help managers address concerns early Lead and coordinate the HR team while preserving established expertise in payroll, immigration/workforce programs, temporary staffing, and timekeeping Provide practical HR reporting, identify recurring issues and trends, and recommend improvements to the
CEO Requirements:
Fluent in English and Spanish, with the ability to communicate effectively with employees in both languages At least five years of progressively responsible, broad HR experience, including independently handling employee relations, recruiting, compliance, and difficult personnel matters Working knowledge of FLSA, FMLA, ADA, workers' compensation, unemployment, wage and hour requirements, and other employment laws and regulations applicable to the workplace Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise sound judgment, handle sensitive employee matters, and follow through without extensive supervision Strong interpersonal skills; approachable with employees and credible with managers Strong organization and follow-through, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, field-based business Able to work full-time on-site in
Lindon, Utah Preferred:
HR experience supporting construction, landscaping, trades, or another field-based workforce Experience leading or coordinating an HR team and improving policies, workflows, or HR systems Experience supporting a seasonal or multilingual workforce Relevant HR certification (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR)
