A Human Resources Manager manages human resources functions for a company or organization, including the recruiting, hiring and training of employees. Works with executive management to develop and implement staffing and compensation plans and works to attract and retain qualified employees. Oversees training and development initiatives. Manages compensation and benefits structure and provides information to employees. Monitors compliance with employment-related regulations. Implements company policies and deals with staffing or disciplinary issues as needed.
We are looking for a hands-on HR Manager to own the full spectrum of human resources for our growing team. This is a solo HR role•you will be the primary HR contact for all employees and leadership, responsible for day-to-day HR operations as well as bringing strategic judgment to benefits and compensation decisions as the company grows. You will report directly to the VP of Operations and will have significant autonomy and impact.
WHAT YOU WILL DO HR
Operations & Compliance Manage full lifecycle HR operations including onboarding, offboarding, and employee records management Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws, including FLSA, ADA, FMLA, COBRA, HIPAA, and ACA employer mandate (as headcount crosses 50) Maintain accurate employee records within Paylocity HRIS Develop, update, and enforce HR policies and the employee handbook Manage workers' compensation claims and coordinate with carriers Own Paylocity HRIS configuration, including workflows, automation, and system setup Payroll Run accurate and timely payroll for all employees using Paylocity Ensure correct tax withholding and benefit deductions Reconcile payroll reports and resolve discrepancies proactively Benefits & Compensation Strategy Own the full benefits program, including health, dental, vision, life, disability, and 401(k) administration Administer open enrollment end-to-end, including employee communications, HRIS configuration, eligibility audits, and post-enrollment reconciliation Compare and evaluate benefit plan options during renewal periods•research alternatives, present cost/coverage trade-offs to leadership, and negotiate with brokers/carriers Advise leadership on future compensation and benefits strategy, including market benchmarking and total rewards structure Ensure compliance with ERISA and

provisions Employee Relations Serve as trusted advisor to managers and employees on HR policies, performance issues, and workplace concerns Conduct employee relations investigations and mediate workplace disputes Coach managers on performance management, documentation, and progressive discipline Talent Acquisition Manage full-cycle recruiting for technical and operational roles, including job postings, screening, interviews, and offer letters Coordinate onboarding and new hire orientation Safety & Training Maintain company-wide safety program, including OSHA compliance and employee training
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
5+ years of HR experience in a generalist or HR manager capacity Experience evaluating or comparing benefits plans during renewal cycles Proficiency with Paylocity or similar HRIS platform Working knowledge of FLSA, ADA, FMLA, COBRA, HIPAA, and ACA requirements Strong Excel skills and comfort with data, reporting, and benchmarking SHRM-CP, PHR, or equivalent certification preferred Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred•equivalent experience considered Ability to work independently and communicate clearly with employees at all levels
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
