Human Resources Specialist Job Description - SubVentures DBA Subway Restaurants At SubVentures, a Human Resources Specialist supports the company's HR operations, ensuring compliance, managing employee relations, and administering benefits. Role Overview A Human Resources Specialist at SubVentures is responsible for executing HR strategies, maintaining compliance with employment laws, and supporting the organization's workforce needs. This role will be based in a small corporate office in Bentonville and will involve coordination with local teams.

Key Responsibilities HR Administration & Compliance:

Administer HR plans and procedures for all company personnel. Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies, procedures, and employee handbooks. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and best practices.

Recruitment & Onboarding:

Oversee the recruitment and onboarding processes. Oversee new employee orientations and exit interviews.

Payroll & Payroll Administration:

Manage new hire information in the payroll system.

Employee Relations:

Investigate and resolve employee relations issues objectively and effectively. Facilitate conflict resolution and workplace mediation. Serve as a point of contact for employee concerns and HR inquiries.

Benefits Administration:

Administer benefits programs, including claims resolution and change reporting. Communicate benefit information to employees

Training & Development:

Support training initiatives and employee development programs. Conduct training sessions for restaurant management group during quarterly meetings on HR policies, compliance and workplace conduct. Handle disciplinary actions, terminations, and exit interviews in collaboration with management Assist in performance management processes, including performance reviews and coaching.

Skills & Qualifications Education:

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.

Experience:

3-6 years in HR, with experience in payroll administration and benefits administration preferred.

Skills:

Strong knowledge of labor laws and HR regulations. Proven experience as an HR Manager or in a similar HR role, preferably in the restaurant business. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Empathetic and approachable with excellent problem-solving skills Proficiency in HRIS systems and payroll software. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Strong computer skills and experience with communication software. Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture.

Certifications:

SHRM-CP, PHR, CEBS, CCP, or Workday Pro are common in competitive markets.

Work Environment Location:

Small Corporate office in Bentonville with minimal travel to franchise locations. Position does not allow for remote work schedule.
