Position Summary The HR Generalist plays a vital role in supporting performance management, employee engagement, training and development, compliance, and student employment operations at the University of Central Arkansas. This position is responsible for administering campus-wide employee evaluation cycles, coordinating university recognition events, delivering onboarding presentations, and co-hosting professional development initiatives. The HR Generalist collaborates across campus to enhance the employee experience and ensure HR processes run efficiently. Job Duties and Responsibilities Performance Management & Appraisals
Administer, track, and monitor the end-to-end employee evaluation lifecycle, including 90-Day, 6-Month, and Annual Evaluations.
Develop and deliver evaluation training for supervisors and managers to ensure consistency and constructive performance feedback. Training, Development & Onboarding
Oversee Vector Training administration, including monthly reporting of all new hires with assigned supervisor details to ensure compliance.
Collaborate, help design, and present at New Staff Orientation.
Collaborate, assist, and help lead the on campus leadership development program, in partnership with the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Academic Leadership (CETAL).
Partner with campus departments to identify needs, create, and launch new trainings (e.g., supervisor essentials, administrative resources, and departmental custom workshops).
Employee Engagement & Recognition
Plan and execute major campus employee engagement events, including Employee Appreciation Day and the Faculty and Staff (F&S) Recognition Celebration.
Administer the 1-Year Employee Recognition program.
Manage HR staff culture initiatives.
Coordinate and execute Career Service communications and milestone notifications.
Operations, Compliance & Administration
Process Student Worker hiring forms and maintain position accuracy for student roles.
Manage and process internal hiring notifications for non-benefits eligible employees.
Ensure campus compliance and risk management standards by maintaining and updating mandatory HR posters across facilities.
Oversee logistical event execution for HR-sponsored functions and campus-wide gatherings.
Performs other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Familiarity with performance management processes, onboarding practices, and employment administration.

Demonstrated public speaking, training delivery, and presentation skills.

Basic scheduling, managing RSVP's, setting up meeting rooms and virtual links (zoom/google meet) Skills Considered Essential for Success

Required Education and/or Experience The formal educational equivalent of a bachelor's degree in human resources, public administration, communications, event management, or a related field; plus one years of related experience.

- Preferred Education and/or Experience The capacity to learn the university's systems (Ellucian Banner and Vector Training Software)
- Proficiency in HR Information Systems (HRIS), database management, and reporting tools.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) or Google Workspace.
- Strong organizational skills to track catering orders, event sign-ins, budgets, etc…
