Job Description

Mission The A-C Electric Company Internship Experience Program offers a diverse, personalized learning journey. You will gain practical skills, develop professionally, and explore various career paths within our organization. Over the course of this 10-week summer program , you will gain practical HR skills, develop professionally, and explore various aspects of human resources within the construction industry.
About You:
We are looking for humble and hungry, agile students who have a drive for results, a desire to learn, and who can quickly build relationships. We are looking for students who are passionate about engineering and the construction industry.
Desired Majors :
Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Communication, Industrial-Organizational Psychology Key Responsibilities:
Over the course of our 10-week internship experience you will have the opportunity to: Work directly with an HR mentor to gain hands-on experience in recruitment, onboarding, training, and employee engagement initiatives Assist in updating and maintaining employee records in compliance with company policies Support planning and coordination of employee events, meetings, and training sessions Participate in Book Club assignments to enhance communication and leadership skills Contribute to HR strategy discussions with company leaders Assist in developing and executing a LEAN project related to HR process improvement, culminating in a formal presentation Help implement HR tools, systems, and resources that enhance organizational efficiency Provide administrative support for HR projects and programs Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience): Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) for 10 weeks during Summer 2027 Enrolled student attending a college or university with an expected graduation on or before August 2028 Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): We're looking for students who have shown solid academic performance — at least a 3.0 GPA in upper-division courses for your major, or a 2.75 GPA overall. Exceptional organizational and collaboration skills as demonstrated through leadership positions on teams and/or in student or civic organizations. Strong technical experiences as demonstrated through technical projects, research, or engineering internships. Exceptional communication skills, interest, and enthusiasm related to electrical engineering and/or construction.
Relocation:
Must be available to work in Bakersfield, CA for the full duration of the internship.

Pay Range:
$19.00/hr. - $24.00/hr . Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
