This role manages the employee lifecycle—from recruiting and onboarding through benefits administration, payroll support, and employee relations. The HR Generalist ensures compliance with applicable labor laws, helps develop and implement HR policies, and serves as a key point of contact for employees and managers on day-to-day HR matters. Additional responsibilities include performance management support, training coordination, and fostering a positive, compliant work environment. Key responsibilities
  • Recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding: Post job openings, screen candidates, coordinate interviews, and manage onboarding and separation processes.
  • Employee relations: Serve as a first point of contact for employee questions and concerns, help resolve conflicts, and address workplace issues in a timely, consistent manner.
  • Benefits and compensation: Administer benefits programs e.g., health insurance and retirement plans.
  • Performance management: Support the performance evaluation process, coach on goal setting, and assist with employee development planning.
  • Training and development: Identify training needs and coordinate workshops and resources to support employee growth and manager effectiveness.
Compliance:
Help ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and maintain required documentation and records.
  • Policy implementation: Support the development, communication, and consistent enforcement of HR policies and procedures.
  • HR data and systems: Maintain HRIS data integrity, generate routine reports as needed, and partner closely with our PEO. Essential skills and qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5-10 years of progressive HR experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of applicable employment laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust with employees and leaders.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving, coaching, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Ability to balance empathy with consistent policy enforcement and confidentiality.
