Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and highly organized HR and Payroll professional to oversee our human resources functions and payroll operations. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of human capital management, employee relations, and payroll processing, ensuring compliance with employment laws and fostering a positive workplace culture. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead strategic HR initiatives, streamline payroll systems, and support organizational growth through effective workforce management. Responsibilities Manage end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with applicable regulations such as FMLA, OSHA, and employment law. Oversee human resources management functions including talent acquisition, employee orientation, evaluation, and training & development programs. Develop and implement HR policies aligned with legal requirements and organizational objectives; ensure regulatory compliance management across all HR activities. Administer benefits programs, including health insurance, workers' compensation, and other employee benefits; handle benefits administration inquiries efficiently. Lead change management initiatives related to organizational design, workforce planning, succession planning, and strategic HR projects. Utilize HRIS systems such as Workday, Oracle HCM, UltiPro, or SAP SuccessFactors for data collection, reporting, and analytics to support decision-making processes. Foster positive employee relations through effective communication skills; manage conflict resolution and promote a healthy work environment. Support HR sourcing efforts using ATS platforms like Kenexa BrassRing or Taleo; contribute to affirmative action planning and diversity initiatives. Requirements Proven experience in human resources department functions with a strong background in employment & labor law and HR legal compliance. Extensive knowledge of payroll processing systems and experience with payroll software such as Lever or UltiPro. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications with advanced skills in Excel data analysis for reporting purposes. Demonstrated expertise in talent management strategies including recruiting, performance management, organization design, and succession planning. Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities within a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills coupled with the ability to handle confidential information responsibly. Familiarity with OSHA standards, FMLA regulations, and OSHA compliance practices is preferred. Relevant certifications in HR (such as SHRM or HRCI) are advantageous; a degree in human resources or related field is preferred but not mandatory.
