As our People & Culture Generalist, you'll partner closely with our leaders and employees at our Chino location to shape our culture, strengthen engagement and drive meaningful people outcomes every single day. You will help drive a wide spectrum of high-visibility work, from employee relations, performance management, employee development, analytics, engagement, and compliance support. Reporting to the People and Culture Business Partner, US West, you'll play a key role in creating a positive employee experience while supporting business success across the operation.
Location:
This role is based at our Chino, California branch and requires on-site presence five days a week. Responsibilities Serve as the primary on-site People & Culture resource for employees and leaders. Support the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, engagement, performance management, learning and development, payroll and benefits administration, and offboarding. Provide day-to-day HR guidance to employees and leaders, resolve routine concerns, connect employees with available resources, and escalate complex matters as appropriate. Partner with leaders on employee relations matters, investigations, performance management, attendance, and corrective action. Lead hourly and salaried recruitment activities, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, offer administration, and onboarding. Support and coordinate People & Culture programs, training initiatives, projects, and process improvement activities. Maintain accurate employee records and HR data, and support people reporting and analytics. Help ensure compliance with company policies and California and federal employment laws and regulations. Build trusted relationships across the business and maintain a visible, approachable People & Culture presence. What You Bring Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of three years' HR experience in a high-volume environment; experience supporting employees and leaders in a distribution, manufacturing, or industrial environment is strongly preferred. Fluency in written and spoken Spanish and English. Working knowledge of California and federal employment laws and regulations, and the ability to apply them in day-to-day HR practices. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Teams, and SharePoint; experience with ADP is an asset. Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships and influence at all levels of the organization. High level of professionalism, sound judgment, and discretion when handling sensitive and confidential information. Self-starter with strong attention to detail, results-oriented mindset, and the ability to work effectively in ambiguity.
